Humanity has always fascinated ( more in an bad way) me—not because of its greatness, but because of its contradictions. We claim to value freedom, yet willingly submit to social, academic so called humane expectations. We praise individuality, yet punish anyone who refuses to perfectly fit in the horrible made society.We speak endlessly about morality while constantly redefining it whenever it becomes inconvenient and it doesn’t fit perfect, no singular morale is possible in todays society, js because every human twists them, changes them or completely abandons them whenever they get bad FOR THEM, not for others.
That’s also why I personally think that emphatic humans are so rare. I don’t mean the emphaty you get everywhere which is imo js there to make the giving person of the emphaty and advancement in the situation. For example, a woman that is ur chef drops smth, ur 5 steps away from the object and 2 steps away from the door to ur home. Most people only would get the fallen object bc it’s their boss ( so maybe the boss thinks better of them) or bc they want to get praised for it. Ofc that thought doesn’t come to the mind bc it’s subconscious. And thats my Problem, got myself i found, humans are egoistic and ego centered beings who doesn’t have ANY real emphaty and symphaty except 1#
Society is built upon an endless cycle of imitation. People inherit beliefs, ambitions, prejudices, and desires, then mistake them for their own. They pursue status because others pursue status, consume because others consume, and seek validation from people who are equally desperate to be validated. So again it’s and endless cycle of doom, js like and Ouroboros, nothing ends in smth good or decent bc Everything is build up each other.
What I find most disturbing is not that humans are capable of cruelty, but how easily they justify it. Give something a respectable name, surround it with enough people doing the same thing, and suddenly almost anything can become acceptable. For example domestic abuse in small cases, ur kid comes from school, bad grades and u hit it w 50% on the arm. Hard but the kid doesn’t scream but js let’s out an slight Sound or maybe Even nothing. Most people would say maybe it’s Not good, but also without the kid knowing what’s bad and whats good, the kid can’t grow up properly. So from the fact, even the slightest slap is categorised as domestic abuse even if you js slightly hit your kid which 99% households have. It gets normal over time bc everyone does it, why would I be bad if everybody else does it? That’s the bad part about society
Perhaps humanity’s greatest achievement is its ability to convince itself that it is exceptional. We call ourselves rational while being driven by impulse, emotional attachment, fear, and the desire to belong. We are not an smart or brilliant Race as every movie and Book says. No, we are Ego centered, dopamine driven machones who desire the releases of chemicals in our brain. That also why love is in fact NOT REAL. Also we dont think about smth if our brain knows that it gets an reward from it ( drugs, cheating, and anything related to dopamine, adrenaline/noradrenaline and oxytocin/serotonine).
I do not hate humanity because it is imperfect. I despise the arrogance with which it pretends not to be. Everything is an falsely made construct, build up by lies, fraud, fake morals and emphaty and much more.
