sock insoles vs height insoles

wear sock insoles when you go to someone's house or have people coming over. But cant u just put your height insoles in ur socks? never done that can someone confirm if that works well?

i feel like more people get caught with shoe insoles rather than socks, and if ur wearing thick socks i feel like it would be rlly hard to tell
