It works, but not to the extent that some people claim. If youre 16 then 100% theres no downside to doing it only benefits, why wouldnt you practice proper oral posture? Will help with breathing, oxygen intake, personally for me it raises my hyoid so my jaw always looks more defined, as your jaw develops into your early 20s mewing will help there, and your jaw does keep developing somewhat, why else do they make you wear retainers after braces up until like 23?

On top of that mewing will help you socially as youll keep your mouth shut more often, youll stop yourself from making comments no one wants to hear or dead jokes, no one likes a loud mouth.
