SOLVE for x | log_3(x-2) + log_3(x-4) = 2

HELP i've gotten 3 different answers and yet when checking it's been wrong every time????
 
3 and root of 10

idk, havent done maths in ages

Does log_3(x-2) means log of (x-3) to the base 3

x= 3+√10

log3[(x-2)(x-4)] =2
log3[x^2-6x+8]=2
3^2=x^2-6x+8
9=x^2-6x+8
0=x^2-6x-1

x=3+root 10
x=3-root 10

Does log_3(x-2) means log of (x-3) to the base 3
It's the log and then the subtext 3.
log3[(x-2)(x-4)] =2
log3[x^2-6x+8]=2
3^2=x^2-6x+8
9=x^2-6x+8
0=x^2-6x-1

x=3+root 10
x=3-root 10

x= 3+√10
When I check the answer it doesn't = 2.
When I use 5 [symbolab gives this] it =2?
