Good looking non-fobby asians were always desirable in the west. And the best looking asian women always dated their own men. Notice how it’s the uglier or avg asian girls you see dating other races (both now and before kpop).

even with Kpop, not every foid is into it (most aren’t as it’s still somewhat niche), and even the ones who are only like the guys that fit the kpop aesthetic. They still won’t like the ones who are objectively not attractive
