Holy shit.

Who tf are these people man. Literally created a Hedge fund from scratch with nothing but AI Agents

Traditionally you need millions, a team of analysts, and Bloomberg terminals to run a hedge fund.

AutoHedge has all these agents working together like a real quant team

A Director Agent that generates the strategy

A Quant Agent that analyzes the market

A Risk Agent that handles exposure + sizing

An Execution Agent that places trades

And in gigachad move. The Dev's made jr open-source, Python-based, and built it around swarm intelligence and risk first design, so you get structured, JSON ready trade ideas and full logging out of the box.

Fucking mad. I am impressed.

I don’t understand hedge funds.

What do they create? Like they aren’t building machines or cars or anything of value.

It’s just magic money created from thin air.

You can think hedge funds like professional gamblers but with lot more math and way less luck. They don't make anything physical. Just move money around, taking money from someone else in the market who made the wrong bet.

Why is this career necessary though? :feelshehe:

What value does it produce for society?

AI has always just been a better search engine — the bubble will pop and it will pop hard.

No value nigga. Finance as whole is just money being moved around nothing of value being created. Just number crunching, pattern recognition and taking advantage of tiny price differences for profit.

I agree AI is overrated for big decisions like this and it will never replace traditional hedge funds but even fact that it exists is surreal to me. This kind of number crunching and making sense out of this much chaos was limited to super computers a few years ago

Yeah but the hedge funds aren't the issue here — the thing is all this AI hype is going nowhere except cooler ways of spitting out existing information on the internet.

I personally think the AI craze here to stay. Sure the valuation and P/E are ballooned up and for real applications AI is still meh but i see AI as more of a tool than something that will replace us. I'm a coder myself and use AI everyday and it has made my life 10x easier and more enjoyable. Before AI i would spend hours writing redundant boilerplate code but now I can focus on the real logic and problem solving part that matters

I'm sure it's here to stay as it is very convenient — but future expectations are going way overboard.

They gave the installation steps in the readme
it already has 126 forks and has been around for 11 months, nobody has actually gotten rich off of it

When did I say you are getting rich with it. The framework is only as good as what you feed it. It is not beating real hedge funds with deep fundamental
modeling and massive proprietary data. There's a reason why it is open source and doesn't have real brokerage APls. Treat it for it is a sandbox/research framework

Is it running simulations or irl and what's the return?

AutoHedge by default is just running simulations and backtests not trading real money unless you manually hook it into a brokerage API on your own. And because it's a framework not a prebuilt strategy there's no fixed return. Your results depend entirely on the data, signals, and risk logic you feed it. Think of it as a quant lab at your disposal not a plug and play profit machine Like I replied to @Netanyahu
