So the first 2 pictures are from about a year and a half ago. Basically, in about April of this year my gf broke up with me which really tore me up. I hadn’t been in the gym or been watching what I had been eating for like 5 months (around when those first 2 photos had been taken). After she broke up with me I decided to take a month off from alcohol and get back in the gym. Since I wasn’t drinking I decided to do a keto diet and workout 5 days a week for 1 month to see what it would do to my body. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.

As you can see in this picture when I was in the thick of this diet/training regime I was super thin. I was borderline ED and incredibly skinny. Did it work? Yes. I lost about 15 pounds in 28 days (from 195 to 180). Also, I did a hour of cardio everyday and a fasted workout. During this period I probably only ate 2 meals a day that consisted of protein and vegetables and fruit, absolutely no carbs like rice, potatoes, or bread. My only source of carbs were from fruit and vegetables. Was it worth it? Maybe not, maybe so. But I can tell you for sure that my mental health sucked during this period. Additionally, my test levels were probably negative as I had no wood for a about a month and had crazy brain fog. I realized I was killing my gains at some point and decided to reintroduce simple carbs like rice, potatoes, and sourdough into my diet. My physique absolutely blew up after reintroducing these carbs into my diet.

As you can see in these pics compared to the previous one, I look way more fuller. My advice to all of you would be to calorie deficit over the course of months rather than aggressively cut in one month . Doing an aggressive cut will kill your hormones and stunt your progress. Did it get me to a point where I could maintain and lean bulk form there? Yes. Would I recommend it to my worst enemy? No. It sucked. Nor would I say it was worth it, but I’m glad I did it because it showed my what I was capable of mentally and physically. It also changed my facial structure like crazy, getting lean and eating a high protein diet will change your face as you can see here compared to my first photo.

finding what works for you is more important than what anyone else says you should do. I went through hell for about a month and it completely changed the way I look but also the way I think about my body and how you should take care of it. And here is what I look like now.

I eat 3 meals a day + supplements and weigh the same as I did when I was aggressively cutting/ eating only 2 meals a day. Moral of the story is starve maxing isn’t the answer and you can look way better while eating more if you train the right way. Lmk if you want to know what supplements I took bc I think that had a major play in the way my face restructured/the way my body looks.
