Some Turkish nigga on reddit r/fragrances was selling these perfume for unbelievably good price. These are $400-600 a pop retail. I already have Creed Aventus the original. I bought it retail but I always wanted to try other fragrances from the house of creed but I couldn't justify spending $600 on a single bottle again since I've barely used my Aventus and this guy was selling these fragrances for half the price. Only $300. The thread(now deleted) read like a fragrance collector wanting to hook up another fragrance collector with a good deal because he did not have the space for these frags.
And as frag head myself this was a bargain for me. A perfect chance to scoop up on a good deal so I was like this... planning on buying 2-3 bottles from him.
I dmed him and he gave me his. whatsapp number. It seemed quite sketchy from the get go. He used some anonymous random number on WhatsApp that scammers often use and wanted to do the transaction on bitcoin. I didn't suspect much tho because this is still the internet after all so i asked him to show me his collection and these are the pics he sent me.
All good so far. Bottled looked legit and high quality. They were in their original boxes some of them were testers but nothing too suspicious but then he made the mistake of posting this bottle. For those that don't know. This is a limited edition 10th anniversary bottle of Creed Aventus that had limited run. Extremely rare. Less than 1500 legit bottles that were exclusively sold in their OG Mayfair, London boutique. These things go for like $700-800 a pop there's no way in hell a collector would let go off such a rare bottle. So that was an immediate red flag and I knew something was up. I confronted him about it. Asked him to send me bar codes and proof of purchase etc. After he knew it was over. He ghosted me and blocked my number.
