Here's the method.A unit circles radius is 1 and the equation of circle is x^2+y^2=r.This equation is true for all the point Lying on the circle

Hence the equation thus formed is equal to

t^2+4/7^2=1 u will get two values one positive and one negative the negative one is the answer because it was stated in the qn that the point is in the second quadrant
