Defiantly could be the cause.

Or he's just a beaten, abused dog. Who'd snapped after taking enough hits. But as he realized he was beaten down and broken and the most he could do was slobber on his attacker.

Just like to deal with all the abuse on org @XIX. Realize the ugh reaction could be his slobber. As he's so beaten down and broken, it's the most he can do to hurt someone.

Not a diagnosis, just an analysis. I could be wrong… but nah.
