they often look much younger than their biological age and they all seem to have the same kind of eye area where they look scared all the time
anyone knows why they look so young?

lack of exposure to sunlight? it's a bit of a stretch but it doesn't seem totally nonsensical

Because the way they are treated socially bc of their looks leads them to focus on other ventures such as trains, cars, cartoons etc

Nope, I get mistaken for older. Yet I’m the biggest assburgers on this site.

maybe a lack of stress? having no need to worry over common societal burdens and pressure may put less stress on them since they tend to ignore what they're not perfect at but rather focus on their genuine interests, leading to a more youthful look.

Might just be confirmation bias on your end.

I haven't looked into this with any seriousness, but I think autistic people may experience being, or perhaps just feeling, behind in terms of reaching developmental milestones. In other words, a lot of them struggle with growing up, at least from what I've read and heard. So those people who are obviously autistic in terms of their behavior may be affecting how you view the physical appearance of them in general.

Further, there are tons of autistic people out there, whose autistic traits are difficult to identify, who don't fit what you're describing--due to masking, so it's difficult to generalize.

Nah. Hair isn't frauding. Your hair especially is a halo, and your jaw is insane.

yeah youre right, this is just something i noticed from my personal experience of interacting with nd people, but theres most likely no real proof to back it up lol
i think it has more to do w facial expressions

Lack of exposure to sun. Bad genetics compound so frail bones = appear youthful. Less social so less opportunities to have facial expressions which cause wrinkles

Yes, because autism is developmental delay, autistics have speech delays and fine motor skills delays that are obvious in early childhood and have nothing to do with feedback. That was me, I couldn’t talk until I was 4 and couldn’t tie my shoes until I was like 9 or 10.

But by the time I got to college was mostly caught up and was successfully NTmaxxing. But then something just stopped, I never had a second puberty, I went the rest of my 20s without gaining even 10 pounds. Especially if I wear sunglasses I look to some people like a teenager even though I’m 31. So this feedback loop part actually took over later in life.

It might be low DHT. I can’t imagine a high DHT looking wide framed, bald headed, deep voiced autist.
