Why do I start involuntarily crying when I get mad

I got little irritated at my mother and said some words in anger but I was not even that angry
I was putting a argument normally and just then my body started shaking up and I felt like I was about to cry but I just put stop that shit in between
Someone explain this phenomenon?
I don't think I will even cry no matter how sad I was
but little anger will somehow cause my body to start a emotional state even though I am completely in control of my argument
