The way they speak to each other is rapid fire and automatic, especially in group settings.

If you’re someone with a neurodivergence that makes interacting socially more difficult, one thing I noticed many times is when these people are having their usual rapid fire discussion/conversation, and you try to bud in and participate yourself, there’s a very noticeable disruption or “break” in their interaction occurs.

They’ll go from running their mouths about whatever to suddenly being surprised that you said something and they’ll ask you to repeat yourself either because they didn’t hear you or because they were so immersed in their own discussion that what you said didn’t register the first time (as if you were never there).

I’ve experienced this many times.

This observation isn't mine tho; it's from a poaster from Elysian Fields. But anyways, thank you for the +rep!

If you're not naturally a part of the group you never will be. Being ND is a curse

Therapy can work for autism :feelsgood:
Therapy is a waste and is just gaslighting for men in most cases unfortunately. They'll never understand true forced loneliness and will over nonsense advice that won't work for true social outcasts

This is very hard to overcome.

You be to be extremely close with people to do this sort of conversion.

This is why I don’t make new friends because they’re always like this
