Sometimes I forget how to sound American

For some reason I can’t speak with the normal accent to ppl of other languages I also speak

Like for example if I’m talking to a German and I speak English even tho my English is normal American I can’t stop myself from speaking like a German

Same happenens the other way around if I speak German to an American I’ll sound American

I think it depends on if I’m used to speaking one language with that specific person but it’s almost impossible

Sometimes I try to force it and it comes out 90% but still has á underlying German accent that makes 0 sense since I can literally speak English better than German it’s my first language

I can learn pretty much any language and sound native tho so that’s a pro
