When I was getting off the bus today, the door wouldn't open.

The driver was in the middle of a discussion with a passenger who was getting on. I was planning on telling the driver I needed him to push his button (to open the back door) once the discussion ended.

Yet another passenger who was near me yelled "back door" (interrupting the discussion) before I had a chance to

Since autists have a track record of being unknowingly rude, we tend to be extremely sensitive about refraining from any behavior we know might be viewed as rude.

Interrupting the discussion could have been viewed as rude

Neurotypical privilege is never having to ask yourself if your actions might be viewed as rude.

Because neurotypicals are less likely to unknowingly act rude. And even if a neurotypical acts rude, since neurotypicals generally have charisma, they can pull off rudeness better than autists can

I'm above-average in looks as well, yet am an autist.

You're right, being a low tier normie NT would be a lot better for us (in terms of getting foids) than being an autistic HTN

Another example of autists having high inhibition for good reason:

We have high inhibition about shooting our shot with a foid because we're prone to unknowingly acting creepy
