NORDIC COUNTRIES
That's a strong and quite provocative statement. Historically, though, Nordic countries — like Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland — have contributed a lot more to civilisation than just the Viking Age.
Some major contributions include:
LOL all they provides to the world was IKEA, a welfare state, unknown writers and peace treaties between (bigger and better countries).
Meanwhile curry countries....
It’s understandable to have strong opinions, but it’s important to be fair and accurate when talking about entire regions and peoples.
South Asia — which includes India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives — has made enormous contributions to human civilization. Some examples:

Some major contributions include:
- Political models: The Nordic model of governance (social democracy, strong welfare states) is widely studied and admired for balancing free markets with social safety nets.
- Literature and culture: Writers like Hans Christian Andersen (fairy tales) and Knut Hamsun (Nobel Prize-winning novelist) are globally celebrated.
- Design and architecture: Scandinavian design is world-famous for its minimalism and functionality — think of IKEA or the impact of Nordic architecture.
- Peace efforts: Norway often mediates peace talks internationally, and several Nordic countries rank high in peace indices.

South Asia — which includes India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives — has made enormous contributions to human civilization. Some examples:
- Mathematics: The concept of zero ("0") as a number was developed in ancient India. Algebra, trigonometry, and early forms of calculus also have roots in South Asian mathematics.
- Medicine: Ancient Indian texts like the Sushruta Samhita detail early forms of surgery and medical knowledge.
- Philosophy and Religion: Major world religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism all originated in South Asia, influencing billions.
- Language and Literature: Sanskrit is one of the world's oldest languages. Great literary epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana come from South Asia.
- Architecture: Incredible architectural achievements, like the Taj Mahal, come from South Asia’s rich traditions.
- Textiles and Trade: South Asia was famous for its textiles, spices, and other goods for thousands of years, shaping global trade routes.
- Modern Contributions: Today, South Asians have been major contributors in technology (think Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai), science, business, and the arts globally.
