You are in America. It's a very cosmopolitan society and I don't think Indians - unless they are very pajeetish will be viewed so badly. In Europe it's a different story.

This doesn't happen with curry women, they tend to be in these big mixed gender groups, mingling with even the most sub5 of curries. The kind of social proximity that a lot of Indians have gives them a lot of chances with their women.
