In August, there were nearly 57,200 slurs against South Asians, the third highest number since tracking began in January 2023. In September there was 879 threats against South Asians, the 2nd highest peak since August 2024. There was 674 violence related threats against South Asians in September
. Why? Well in short this is due to politics, anti-immigration, etc.
