I don't know man, i can't make predictions right now. Think about it, the US just said "Muh we are following developments closely" instead of just accepting that the coup is unconstitutional and all that usual faggotry.

It makes sense that they saw Yoon's (Their biggest lackey) power was threathened, so they gave him green light. It's just dumb to do this kind of move when his support is so low (Around 25%), he must have had external approval.

For the US, since NK is a very close ally of Russia, it makes sense on the war teather to escalate with them using their proxy, achieving more easily the objective you mentioned, leaving a mess with Russia to Trump and now not only having to close that ukranian frontline but to make both countries deal with unconditional allies at war.
