It is or as close as it can get on this planet. I wish my father had settled there instead of the UK. I've never liked it here, i don't like the people, the culture, the weather, nothing. I don't care if there is more financial opportunity here, the cost is too great. All my life i have lived in this country and a total of about 5-6 months spread out over a few years that i was in Spain were the best moments of my life. My genetics are not even suited to a cold climate, i should be in a warm climate.
What's even the point of living in a so called 1st world country when you're not happy? isn't everything we do in life ultimately to be happy? Yes i'm a NEET but so what if i was a wagie? what if i had a professional job and was earning 50k/yr? i wouldn't be happy.
The "deaths of despair" rate is skyhigh, higher than The Great Depression. We are living in a "silent depression" period where although the government may never acknowledge how bad things are, the people know and experience it on a daily basis. I don't want to live here anymore, i would rather an hero than keep living in this cold frozen wasteland. You can say it's become i'm not "English" but you aren't fooling anyone. All the working class in this country are completely fed up and depressed due to how bad things are. The immigrants keep coming while the people who are native to this land and grew up here just keep getting told to suck it up and watch their quality of life continue to decrease every year. Our salaries are so low, house prices so high and inflation has been like 49% in the past 5 years.
How many more men have to drink themselves to death, take drugs just to function on a daily basis until they say enough is enough?
