Speaking too quickly

Anyone else speak way too quickly to the point where it just sounds like incoherent mumbling

I think this is an nd / low confidence trait that is extremely hard to shake

big reason I do it I think is because when I was ugly nobody would listen to what I have to say, everyone would just interrupt me, etc so I unconsciously started doing it

Now I have to put conscious effort every time I speak to enunciate and speak each word distinctly

But the problem is that if you go too far in this direction then you start to sound nd again

Idk if there is any winning for me

i used to speak very quickly aswell before, i also think it had something to do with not being listened to, i still do it sometimes here and there but most of the time i just naturally speak normally now.

I do this whenever I’m nervous. Talking quickly is associated with being unconfident and tense and anxious. I just think what I’m about to say before I say it, and pretend like I’m talking to myself instead of someone else, and it helps me slow down
