Sports after Chin SHield/Genio

Would it be safe to participate in contact sports after something like a chin shield? Even after it's healed?

Not just things like MMA, but shit like Surfing, Skiing and Rock climbing

Don't know tbh, but id guess you can once it's fully healed
I mean there's also a difference between martial arts taking blows to the chin all the time and something like soccer

Based, yeah my bad i should've specified that i meant sports more towards the Suring, Skiing etc side of the spectrum not martial arts

Thanks, good timing tho from what i read the bone is fully healed after 6 months.

I would assume it's very safe because they screw the implant into your skull.

once the bone fully fills in yes 100%, maybe with plates in you might be able to

This should not be a problem at all 6+ months after but these kind of sports can usually be resumed just a couple of months later with caution
