Deadlift once a week with good form is pretty good, you aren't going to lift anything as heavy with your forearms, for example.
 
Deadlift raises T levels more than any other excerise. That alone is a good reason to do it once a week

oh shit I wanted to write they are bad for your looks, especially the way your body looks. Maybe not deadlifting but its still veery inefficient and has 0 purpose and more harm if you want to just build muscle in these areas

Instead of squats I do bike hill sprint on high gear, my legs are strong and defined with decent size, I also do reverse hyperextensions to focus more on posterior chain/lower back

Seated leg press instead of squats for the victory.

I daren't ever deadlift due to the probability of permanently destroying my back.
 
Squats Are More essential imo. DL enough so that you arent embarrassingly weak, so 3 plates For reps
 
They raise T levels. Higher T levels make all your other exercises more effective
i dont do neither of them still high T
Squats are pretty good and u can easily measure your progress. There are other alternatives for legs like: jump squats and uphill sprints.
Deadlifts are kinda questionable if u have good technique and u like it go for it but I would avoid it personally

Don't do it, I ruined my lower back permanently after years of squats and deadlifts, been listening this shit youtubers that you should squat/deadlift at least twice a week. Now I can't even do standing barbell row or lift 60kg from ground

Do it. Just keep reps low. Progressive overload weight but 2-5 reps per set max
 
My physique started improving when I stopped silly exercises such as squat and deadlift
