I got some pie scars and 2 macro comedones though can i use 0m1% tazarotene 3x a week on the pie scars to fade them fast? Or would that be giga retarded

I’ve tried stacking every topical retinoid on Accutane. My skin never tolerated both at the same no matter what. But give it a shot if you want to see your skin barrier in shambles.

Took weeks to recover from the redness, dryness, and irritation.

Closest I ever got to adjusting was with Adapalene and Accutane but it still was irritated and red, just less.

I’ve used topical taz whilst on 20mg accutane. Eventually my face drys up and I take time off, but that is always because of the taz.

NO
NO

Ur just gonna irritate ur skin and lead to worse scarring.

If the purge is rly bad and ur worried about scarring ask for oral antibiotic and/or oral corticosteroid to be added.

Do not use any topical retinod at same time.

At the most use something like a clindamycin topical gel to soothe the inflammation

Any PIE can be dealt with after accutane cycle is over with taz / azelaic acid.

Actually let me correct this years later.

Now I’m on 10mg of Accutane and I am able to tolerate 0.05% Tretinoin successfully.

So it’s possible, and it is beneficial, but tolerating it is hard. Adjusting dosages will help a lot, you just need to find a sweet spot.

do the 0.05 taz first and adjust (2 weeks to confirm)

and then take the iso

you’ll be good

Shortly after I made that post, my skin barrier was brutally raped by the taz alone so Iso and retinol it is

i'm thinking of 10mg accutane twice a week and 0.025 percent tret every 3 days ( i don't have acne but my skin is dull)
