Obsidian did, Outer Worlds, and it did not flop, they got great reviews, it just did not get that big due to not being a big developer company. However they are potentially better than Bethesda considering they produced Fallout: New Vegas which is by many considered to be the best one despite being the only made by Obsidian instead of Bethesda.

Skyrim is to this day the most immersive game and Bethesda made it, so I think it will be good, despite Fallout 4 haters the game had a lot of character.
Cyberpunk got a lot better since release, great aesthetic now.

I enjoyed Skyrim and Fallout 4 without mods tbh.
I usually prefer medieval or post apocalyptic stuff however it's been a while since a good space game so I'm looking forward to it.
