Cutting your own hair honestly mogs hard. It’s been a long time since I gave a molecule of my paycheck to a barber. I got sick of spending $30-45 at barbershops only for my hair to never turn out exactly how I’d envisioned.
If you have a messy fringe/flow/medium length kind of hairstyle (newsflash: you should if you actually want JB appeal) then scissor cutting your own hair becomes easy with practice. Go slow, cut in layers, and use point cutting technique (cut strands of hair at an angle.) Clean up the neck with a razor and you’re good to go.
Costs zero dollars and you can maintain your hair just how you like it. Again, GO SLOWLY. If you’re cautious and not stupid you won’t fuck your hair up too badly, but worst case scenario you hatmaxx/beaniemaxx for a few weeks. And then you never pay a barber one cent ever again.
