Fixing my gut biome then I will try readding shit in gradually. I will only eat red meat like steak and beef liver. Also maybe organic eggs too

First off, congrats on choosing carnivore. It is very underrated despite all the endorsement from Jordan Petersonbros (cringe). I'm very sure you'll see great results. While losing weight, it might be good for you to start doing a sport as well. I think it's important to build muscle while simultaneously losing fat in your body.

Don't do straight carnivore if you already move a lot during the day. I'm an athlete at school so I tried to incorporate some fruits/veggies for more nutrition.

Also, eat as much as you want. The first few weeks do not even dare cutting your calories; your body is already shocked and needs nutrients.

Note: When your body enters ketosis, you may feel very low in energy because of the lack of carbs in your body. I ate a lot of butter to instead supply my body with long term fats (which melt away so, so quickly while doing carnivore).

If you do it properly for even a few weeks, you'll lose so much weight it's incredible. I personally lost about 52 lbs in a year but I didn't do carnivore straight. I first did 3 months of carnivore w/ the addition of vitamins and some fruits occasionally. In those 3 months, I lost 32 lbs. Then I took a break for a few months and did it for a month every four months or so because I had to build muscle.

I think I did carnivore for about 5 or 6 months and lost more than 52 lbs so it is definitely worth it. Just try to take a break every once in a while.

Tip #1: If doing a cheat day, the best cheat meal has to be something like a banana split because vanilla ice cream is already milk so it's animal based, which is very good.
Tip #2: When taking a break from carnivore, try to eat whatever your body lacked while you were on the diet. For me, it was a whole bunch of carbs and anything with olive oil.
Tip #3: After carnivore, definitely check out an animal-based/paleo diet because it is much more maintainable and gives great results if trying to build muscle.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

No. Add milk, cheese, and butter for sure. Just red meat isn't good, nor does it accomplish the goal of the diet.

I remember eating sticks of butter because they seriously give great energy after your body enters ketosis.

Eat some fruits (bland fruits at least). Consume some fiber so you don't get constipated.

Note: Cheat days should be taken probably every 2-3 weeks for one day but definitely go hard on that day and eat whatever the hell you want.

Another thing is that you will start eating less automatically because you will "numb" your tastebuds in a way where you do not want to mix foods/flavors anymore. Since it's all salty foods, you won't desire the good ol' American diet of eating protein with sweets (i.e. pancakes and steak and eggs).

I am doing carnivore because anti biotics ruined my gut flore and caused cystic acne. I want to give my body rest so it can heal my gut flora I plan on doing an elimination diet carnivore seems like the best first step then gradually try and add stuff back in and see how I react.

Someone in another thread mentioned its a good way to allow my gut to recover.

Yeah but I want the full benefits of ketosis for a bit you can go a while without fruit.

I've tried this diet and didn't work at all for me(I don't have any gut problems but I just wanted the benefits). Being really honest with you I would rather try raw carnivore, I know it sounds crazy, but I tried it and still to this day a good portions of my meat meals consist of raw meat. It's really simple. it just like carnivore (you can eat milk, eggs, even fruit is not considered cheating but you won't crave it that much) but of course all raw. If you are brave enough try it, some people on this forum have tried it already. It's just my suggestion, I 100% understand If you would rather do conventional carnivore.

Won't I get sick man?

No. I didn't get sick first time I tried it but depends on the person, Don't consume organs from supermarket, it makes you sick, only organic if you want to try them. You can start cooking the meat rare and slowly you try raw.
If you want to try it I suggest eating a fatty meat, the fat tastes good.
Search the diet in youtube there are some people doing videos about it.

Try organic liver. Nop I genuinely want some people try it because I know the feeling it gives. Literally one of the best feelings

I honestly think diets like the Japanese diet are healthy but ketosis is a useful tool

Yeah it's prob not a good idea to go all out and try raw immediately w/o doing conventional carnivore first. You also mentioned that you had had problems from antibiotics so don't overwhelm your body.

red meat is pro inflammatory

u are not healing ur gut eating red meat

if u want to populate ur gut flora with good bacteria u need a legit and strict protocol including probiotic foods like kefir and fermented vegetables

this may take several months

this is well studied
