The more I think about human nature and suffering and history and even the metaphysics of reality itself the more I’m becoming convinced the Bible really is the word of Christ and He is real

Inductive / empirical “proof” will only take you so far because it’s based on our limited observations

Rational proof works better and for a topic like God there is no rational proof one way or another if he exists or if he doesn’t

The history of the Old Testament is weird which undermines my faith in Christ

Because it’s just a test and the real life is what comes after, only in His afterlife can true equality, Justice, and love exist, free from our human nature

delayed gratification

suffer now, be true Adam in heaven with uncountable amounts of women and anything you desire later

not a bad deal no?

Yep good. If you need any knowledge on verses and shit just ask me cos I’m the resident evangelist here

Matt 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in.

I have the same story

I lost all faith around 11 or 12

And only now at 18 considering I was wrong

I lost faith because I thought a perfect all loving God could never allow so much evil and suffering, especially in my life

I felt abandoned by Him

And the classic Christian argument “Muh free will” was lazy to me

But now I think that the very concept of “evil” we think of is flawed because it originated from humans

What is evil? Evil is just what the news tells you is evil.

God explained morality to us in terms we could understand, He can’t put into language how he operates so He just tests how much we can follow Him instead

no

i have to spend around $25,000 to ascend, & that’s on top of the $17,000 i’ve already spent.

i want to ascend now not in 60 years

You're only believing in God because you can't cope with the nature of humans

Believing in God doesnt negate any of that so it’s not really a cope

Actually Christians know more about human nature than the average atheist

I never said not to ascend right now, you got a hand of cards by god and its up to you with how you play them

we will all die at some point. everything you do here will be gone

might aswell spend a little of your time each day securing your spot in heaven

Actual Christians do not know about nature. Their book the "Bible" does not resonate with biology at all, instead, it contradicts. All religion is mediocre at best

Apologetics or what they tell you at church won’t really convince you if you want to have faith I encourage you to look into philosophy so you can find out from a more objective and honest way

I meant our nature as in how humans act

Science is so flawed lol it evaporates once you’re talking about a concept so infinite and grand and outside the system as God

Science overpowers Kikestianity

Science overpowers Kikestianity
It’s not like a competition anyways

Most of the greatest scientists were Christian

Science just explains replicable, material phenomena while Christianity explains the immaterial

I think you believe that god is good, so why did he create evil?

Because it shapes us, tests us, and ultimately defines us

but what about the things we can't control ? for example bone cancer for new born babies, imo that thing is really useless unless god want to torture innocent humans.

Utilitarianism is the idea that we should make choices that maximize good and minimize evil

But the problem is that due to time, the ratio of good to evil consequences from an action will usually ebb back and forth on the pendulum as time continues

Look up “the farmer who lost his horse”

Since God exists outside of time only He is able to practice true utilitarianism

I truly believe we can’t understand good and evil because of the limits of our reality and knowledge, like time and the human brain

What if the innocent person who got cancer would’ve died an atheist instead of becoming a believer? What if they took part in a trial where we developed a medication that advanced the species? We cant know what’s good and what’s evil because we can only pinpoint one moment in time to make the judgment, while God makes the judgment looking at Everything

you said what if that baby died as an atheist, I have two better alternatives first is not to create him from the first place, or second just give him a quick heart attack. I really wanna see your point on this

If God allowed the scenario you originally proposed to happen, He did so because it would ultimately create the most favorable outcome. I know that sounds absolutely absurd and unacceptable for me to say, but that’s because we can’t actually judge what’s right and wrong. Our knowledge is finite and limited so any judgment that isn’t from God is flawed. The premises will never add up if it comes from our hands. Maybe tragedies happen exactly the way they do because of how it shapes our experiences / reactions / memories / narratives

But to truly explain why is impossible, because we don’t know enough for a completely sound argument
