If you want to get a heavy bench for your ego start doing static holds after benching or even everyday if u want to. I’m going for 35lbs past my pr from 2 weeks ago tmrw jfl. If you really want a heavy bench though bench 3 times a week and do the static holds everyday. I dont know if it affects recovery but its working for me
