I feel like a lot of people completely misunderstand and misuse the whole status argument when it comes to attraction. You always see people saying stuff like “oh women only find Jeremy Allen White or Pedro Pascal attractive because of status”, but it really doesn’t work that way. Yeah, status helps in terms of exposure and social proof, it gets these guys in front of more people — but it doesn’t create the initial attraction out of nowhere. You don’t see women making thirst edits of Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, or Mark Zuckerberg — and they have more status, fame, and money than almost any actor. The looks have to be there first for status to even matter in that way. People use the status argument as a cope to explain away why certain guys who aren’t textbook Chad get tons of attention but in reality, it’s looks first, status amplifies it. The argument gets completely misconstrued online.
