I get statusmaxxing, peacocking, being out there etc, but seriously, how the hell does keeping a bunch of dangerous as fuck snakes as pets and playing with them make you attractive??

I can sort of get it if the idea came from some rough, robust, semi dark triad, tatted up super masculine guy, but all the guys I know who do this tend to be nerdy / awkward or at best columbine stylemaxxers with trench coats and bad hair.

Does anyone know where this idea came from?? Isn't the value of pets largely in how they I teract with you??

I dont think he is trying to improve his chances with women I think he just likes reptiles. Just likes to have cool animals, many people have pets for companionship but I would imagine this is just if you are interested in snakes, you can have a bunch of different ones and watch them and feed them and whatever else

Yeah that's what I'm trying to figure out, and all I could think is it started out as some kind of bad boy, women live danger kind of play??

But yeah as @SkinjobCatastrophe said it might be TOTALLY unrelated and just be they like looking at them, feeling them, messing around with them.

I have a thing for very high end action figures, watches, and Japanese knives, just cos I appreciate the canon or I appreciate fine craft and metallurgy. I know it doesn't raise my value with foids at all, most can't tell why a £3 IKEA knife is any different to a £2,000 hand and water crafted Honyaki blade, but they give me pleasure.
