I’m 2 months into Accutane waiting for improvement still getting new pimples here and there. I’m gonna hop on testosterone and possibly deca soon. Since both can increase oil production, could they make my acne worse or interfere with my Accutane results? I need a serious answer

Just start on test not deca, the accutane will work overtime even on test

I’ve never taken steroids, but I’ve been through the full cycle of accutane. Depending on the dose, it usually doesn’t start to get better until month 3. My skin was almost completely fully clear by month 9 when I stopped.
I believe test would make your acne worse but accutane can fix about any acne, it’s just can you tolerate the side effects. I was on 80mg a day and it dried my skin out like crazy, but I was acne free pretty much for like 4-6 months after that
if it really comes down to it just up your accutane dose if you can tolerate the side effects

I’m on 40 mg right now and my body seems to tolerate it well. I haven’t done bloodwork at all, so I’m not sure if increasing the dose is a good idea, especially since Accutane can already stress the liver and so can testosterone. Also, 60 mg would cost more and i'm already buying a new pack every two weeks for the 40mg i take.

Might not be highly reactive to it, could also be underdosed. there's a lot of reasons it's not being as effective as it could be, do you ingest it with a fatty meal? pretty sure the absorption is better with food

Accutane is doing what it's supposed to do. I only take it for 57 days, which is almost 2 months. Most people see results around month 3 and after

That is not really my concern. My concern is that testosterone will make my body produce more oil, which could lead to more acne, even while I’m on Accutane.

Ah yeah. In this case most people use dutasteride as dht is the main potent factor in pushing your sebum. Dutas is definitely an underrated skincare regimen, especially when on AAS but accutane already does enough of the job when you're natty. So try dutas
