It dehydrates you, not the opposite. All you are doing is flushing away nutrients and bloating yourself. You should be drinking very little of it or drink sparkling water (adds oxygen to the blood atleast) or even better drink raw milk or vegetable juice. We humans crave liquids with flavor instead of water for a reason. It was actually common knowledge that drinking too much water was bad for you back then before the bottled water industry appeared and wanted to sell more plastic bottles so they brainwashed the general population

Just remember: if it’s promoted by society, it’s probably bad for you in some type of way or another. Question everything

It makes some sense. Is there any way to read the science about this? The only thing I know is that water tends to be full of microplastics.

The truth is that too much water will cause you to excrete hormones and proteins, along with other solutes in your blood, into your urine or sweat. Additionally, it can mess up your body's ability to deliver solutes to tissues because you're throwing off the starling forces in your vascular system. Think about it, evolutionarily speaking it makes no sense to down 2-3L at a time, we were made to live off of water throughout the day in moderate amounts. Not to mention the fact that humans did not have potable water in consistent amounts, and often relied on milk and animal blood for their source of hydration.

You may get “sick” but you will never die from it if you continue to feed your body with the right foods it needs in order to replenish itself. If you don't engage in a lot of exercise than you could just mineralize your water with some sea salt or add fruits into your water which I occasionally do. Humans should generally did drink water from sources that had minerals in them before hand.

Also,

Water isn't necessarily cope, if you engage in combat sports or heavy intense physical exercise and are sweating a lot, (talking from personal experience).

Edit : now that I've read more, goober55 is right, moderation and throughout the day is what is normal also some people may react differently to different diets and you may feel better right now, but that may not be long term, it most likely isn't universal and also you may not even know if you're losing one thing for another.

If you're worried about cravings I can give you some advice as to how combat that but not drinking water doesn't seem like the way to go.
