Regret is beneficial, because it avoids us from going down an unideal path in the future
If we didn't regret, there would be less of a chance of us placing priority in what occurred, and acting upon the regret

If you can do it without regret then that's good, but it can't be universalized unfortunately
Too many people let emotions control them
People would cease to place sufficient priority in something, if it didn't affect them emotionally

Looking back on things and reflecting on them in hindsight can beneficial because you can learn from your experiences and make better decisions in the future, but the point is, you can't regret the decision itself, choosing differently would require all the atoms and particles of the universe to have been in a different state at the precise moment of your decision, you can only have knowledge of different options, but whichever option you go with is the only one that was meant to be picked regardless of the aftermath and whether it favors you. So, reflect on your choices and actions in hindsight, but don't regret them, you couldn't have chosen differently.
