Strabismus surgery is a complex nightmare

Holy fuck it is so confusing

They will readjust both side muscle on one eye so that the eye looks straight while the other eye is in natural position leading to alignment

But since there’s another muscle that wants to pull upwards whenever my eye looks in they have to work on that one too

And my eye varies anywhere from like 10% turned to 90% turned depending on how tired I am and how my vision is

So they hope it will just kind of lock into straight position doing a conservative movement

Or God forbid I could get double vision

But then I could need more surgeries after if it doesn’t get aligned

And you only get 4 surgeries before they can’t do anymore

I understand why Frank Tufano went crazy honestly, this shit is no joke

I am so fucking scared, my life is literally on the other side of this surgery I need to start praying to God and reading the Bible unironically because I’m going to need a miracle to help me.

Maybe, I’ll see. Tufano situation ruined the reputation of the surgery when there are good surgeons who have good results with it.
