Strange there isn't tons of black people in the Balkans from the Ottoman slavery

Quite strange that the percentage is zero even though the Ottomans did enslave african slaves from East Africa and bring them to Istanbul. Keeo in mind the center of the Ottoman Empire was Balkans and West Anatolia, but there is zero trace of those slaves now. Wtf happened to them tbh, i read little information that they were sent back to africa or something. Was wierder is that there is no mention of a single african person in any of the poetry and writings from Balkan peasants.

I doubt the Ottomans ever used black slaves in the Balkans, there were enough Serbs for that purpose there

No, Serbs were regular citizens that payed taxes they weren’t slaves just didn't have the same social rights as muslims would. Ottomans primarily used Black slaves for small scale labor and stuff and Russian slave girls for sex
