Writing this as a reminder for myself the same way im writing for you guys
Stretching is so important. You might not even realise that your baseline stiffness/fatigue is not normal until after youve stretched and you suddenly feel like a new person. Having fatigue on your body indirectly hurts other aspects of your life and happiness. Stretching is so high return on investment, it only takes 5 minutes a session, but immediate results.
Seriously, I just spent 5-10 minutes doing basic lower back and hip mobility work, and the difference is instant. You don't realize how much mental energy a tight lower back or locked up hips drain from you until that pressure finally releases. It bleeds into your sleep, your mood, your workouts, everything.
In the modern day we are forced to sit in positions without moving our limbs for long amounts of time, this is not natural and it causes stiff muscles/joints.

if you are in bed:
1. Knee to Chest Hug: Lay on your back. Pull one knee toward your chest, holding it with both hands. Switch legs after 1 minute. Then, pull both knees in together and rock gently side to side. This decompresses the lumbar spine without needing floor stability.
2. Supine Twist: While laying on your back, keep your shoulders flat against the mattress. Drop both bent knees to the left side, then to the right. This provides a gentle rotation of the spine that releases tension in the lower back muscles
hard floor stretches are much better:
Full-Spine High-ROI Routine.

- 90/90 Hip Flow
90 seconds
Sit on the floor with both legs bent at 90 degree angle. Rotate your knees from left to right like windshield wipers, keeping your feet anchored. Then, lean your torso over the front shin to feel a deep glute/hip stretch. - Cat Cow (sus as fuck)
60 seconds
Start on all fours. Avoid the backshot demon. Inhale, Drop your belly toward the floor, lift your chin/chest, and arch your back. Exhale, Tuck your chin, round your spine toward the ceiling, and push the floor away. - Childs Pose (ayo)
60 seconds
From all fours, push your hips back onto your heels. Reach your arms as far forward as possible, pressing your palms into the floor to "pull" your lats and mid-back open. Rest your forehead on the floor. - Thread the Needle
60 seconds (30s per side)
On all fours, take one arm and slide it underneath your opposite armpit. Lower your shoulder to the floor while looking through the gap. You will feel a strong release between your shoulder blades. - Doorway Pec Stretch
60 seconds (30s per side)
Stand in a doorway. Place your forearm against the doorframe with your elbow at shoulder height. Step forward slightly until you feel a deep stretch across your chest and the front of your shoulder.
