So I have been leanmaxxing hard recently as well as using Tretinoin and my face has become SO MUCH MORE LEANER. Not just that, but the acne I had is gone due to using Tretinoin (it went away when I bumped up to 0.05%). Now my face is lean and my skin is smooth and clear. I noticed that stubble made my face actually look a bit more bloated and chubby, so I clean shaved and I just looked so much YOUNGER. Should I just clean shave if it makes me look younger and I have good skin and a good jawline? I am torn because the stubble makes me look more masculine.

you already answered your question.

Short stubble shouldn't make a face look bloated that doesn't look bloated normally . 2mm stubble is usually the best length as long as you can grow it.

I can grow it but it looks a bit patchy on my left cheek. Also the hair color isn't too dark so it doesn't look super filled in. I could use Minox but damaging by collagen for a bit better stubble seems like a bad tradeoff.

If its too patchy you may be better off waiting to grow it then.

Need to see pics generally clean shaven looks insane if you have bones popping. Stubble is generally solid though for most men

Well groomed facial hair > no facial hair. Bad, patchy face hair < clean shaven

I have the same experience. I lost some weight, cleared up my acne with tret and am using minox for a beard. And whenever my stubble gets to a certain length it makes my face look fat and ungroomed.

In my opnion, if you cant grow a thick beard/stubble yet then clean shaven>pubes on your face. If your beard is thick enough then go for it

There's no one size fits all answer in aesthetics. If it works for you, it works.

whatever u think looks great. ask close friends and family if it matters that much.
