Personally have been taking this combo for 5 months and have nice results with mild side-effects (compared to some people on the internet) - pretty much only dry mouth/skin and lower back pain from time to time.
So I think it's a good idea to take it.
PS: Some people say antihistamine makes you a bit more sleepy (personally haven't noticed that), so you might take it just before bed - no need to take it with food what is the case for accutane.
