Imo the most successful people in school are usually those with both good habits, conditioned into them by their parents, and high IQ or just good habits and average IQ. But being high IQ and thinking it'll be enough to help you glide easily through advanced topics is a grave mistake and a belief that is usually reinforced by school being rather easy for those with high IQ up until college
