K tell me more how my brother working as a surgeon in the netherlands, after having studied for 8 years, working 50-60 hours/week and making only 30k dollars/year after taxes, is supposed to afford this?
Indeed over for doctorcels, the most high effort job for mediocre reward, as I said Unless you're low T enough to love working as a doctor it's a shit decision to become one

it's just like usa, full of fatcells mcdonalds mirins pre-diabetics who need to visit the doctor every other week

but their people don't make nearly as much as the average american so surely you dont make as much money as an american doctor who treats the same amount of patients.

Lol at wasting years studying just to be a beta provider. And when ur done with residency ur old af.

Better to have some chill office job, low stress and make decent money from the get go. Go on weekend vacations and not have to studycel on your leisure time.

I go to med school myself, 4th year. But i regret it and took a break this semester. Should have picked something quicker, easier.

Yeah these comments are retarded jfl, they probably think of USA when they say its not worth it, in many countries in Europe you finish med school at 24 and then start working while specializing in something, basically you become a doc in your prime, and i like medicine because i like to help people, feel nice tbh, if you are not a retard you will always be liked by everyone
Being a doctor in germany is shit you fucking moron

You will make the same salary as a factory worker and the status isnt the same as in America

Holy shit what a retard

Average salary for physician in Germany is 10k euro, with taxes its 7k euro. Factory worker earns 3k, and 2k after taxes. But sure jfl

Is it really 7k after taxes? I thought it was lower in Germany

But still, 6 years of hard studies + clerkship + 5 years residecy until you start making any money. That’s about 12 years.

I think you are confusing it with being a doctor in USA too much, they make 5x more money than germany and have more status I assume

Really depends on the country. Doctors don't make much more than other university degrees here and it's rude to refer to yourself by title and last name instead of just first name (social law of jante) so the title doesn't really have that much status here either.

TBH the only reason I'd be worth getting is if you could emigrate to America, but then you'll have to redo residency.

JFL at choosing random fields because of their perceived status like people usually do with medicine and IT and say cliche shit like

"You know what I'm gonna study (hard field) and become rich!" :soy:

Only for it to not be the natural task your brain is best paired with and ending up being mediocre or dropping the studies all together.
This is usually evidenced by the person saying this shit not having prior experience or interest towards the subject, a completely random choice made on others' view of reality.

If you weren't interested in medicine since the day you were born but it's only a choice you took yesterday on the basis of its popularity, muh statusmaxxing or earning potential I have bad news for you.
