truth is, amphetamines are made for people with ADHD.

People who have ADHD essentially lack control of the part of their brain that causes hyperactivity. This means that they have an off switch, but it is locked in the on position, so you can't really sit still or pay attention. Amphetamines like Lisdexamphetamine and Adderall are designed specifically for that part of the brain, and it gives us the ability to unlock that switch and turn it off.

When someone without these disabilities takes an amphetamine, it does the opposite, it hyper-activates that part of the brain, because you aren't use to it, and because you already have the control over that part of your brain, your brain has a sort of freak out and you can't calm it down until the medication wears off.

Well, I’m saying go to a doctor before taking prescription medications. It’s not good for you. Stick with things that aren’t prescription, like nootropics. But if you are diagnosed, great, you’ll probably connect a few dots you’ve been wondering about for years and on top of that get drugs to help you focus.
