The thing is though is that kids know what's up. And the parents know they know what's up. And the kids know their parents know that they know what's up. They aren't that innocent. So the only thing that's really going on is you've got a nation full of adults who are synchronously modeling punk ass behavior, seeking approval from crowds of total strangers, by pretending that something's relevant when everybody knows it's not by pretending kids are more fragile than everyone knows they are.
