Some articles try to show what celebrities would look like if their faces were perfectly symmetrical.
A they do utterly idiotic jobs of it.
Exhibit A — Adele's head wasn't front-facing, yet people still thought it was a good idea to use this photo for a symmetrical morph:
Exhibit B — Her face is tilted slightly clockwise, and her eyes aren't looking at the lens. Still, this photo was used in a serious attempt at a symmetrical morph without even aligning the eyes to the horizon and cloning her original left eye to replace the mirrored one:

The golden ratio is important, but it can't be applied to everything.
Sometimes, people assume that parts of the face fit the golden ratio (or ideally should) when they actually do not.
Exhibit A — This idiotic image incorrectly equates the facial height to width ratio to the golden ratio (1.618) when it's not even close:
His face's height and width are 487 and 677 pixels, respectively.
677 ÷ 487 ≈ 1.39
Not 1.6 like the image claims.
