I've done subq before when I was pinning ED. The pain is essentially non existent on both although subq runs the risk of lumps while IM you can hit a vein. Both are very unproblematic but there are pros and cons to each.

I'd try both if I were you and see which feels better. For ED, subq might be more comfortable because you can use insulin pins but IM is just as good.

I use insulin for IM 27 1/2 inch in the butt
Haven’t gotten bloods back yet but seem to be fine

Most guys on YouTube recommend insulin needles with every day trt IM

ventrogluteal and delts, just push the needle in further if u feel its not in the muscle. take a capped slin pin and push it into ur delt, ud be surprised how far you can get it in.
