SUBQ vs IM injection

Was planning to experiment with pharmaceuticals that require IM injections such as test and cerebrolysin, but my pussy ass is too scared to do IM. Was curious on whether IM would hurt a lot more than subq and if there are more risks involved such as possibly hitting a nerve?

Subq = slower absorption, less spikes, but PIP is strong if you inject a lot once
IM = faster absorption, more spike
