Mostly true because richer families provide their children with better education, resources and networks. Both of my 'successful' friends have parents with six figure jobs and huge houses. But that's not to say you cant succeed without those things, my older brother was a studycel and ended up as a management accountant making 80k a year despite coming from a poor background. Really up to whether or not the person in question wants to succeed or not.
