Accepting Christ ≠ no suffering
Suffering is a necessity. There are times when God intervenes and when He wills to act in other ways
He saves Daniel from the Lions den,
He lets Peter gets crucified.
Jesus rose His best friend from the grave,
Job, an innocent man, loses everything and becomes ill, but then gains 2x of everything
Apostle Saul Paul was beaten and flogged and whipped and imprisoned multiple time
And so on. We have to suffer in some degree. Doesn’t have to mean battling terminal illnesses. it can be not doing what we want, loss of a job, losing friends. It’s when your family passes away, it’s when you can’t fill your stomach from time to time, it’s when people mistreat you before even knowing you
But suffering doesn’t go unnoticed.
“The Lord Disciplines those He loves, as a father the son he delights in.”
“For I know the plans I have for you are for good and not of evil. For a future and a hope.”
“The sufferings we have now are nothing compared to the great glory God will give us.”
Suffering happens.
Suffering will happen.
Suffering must happen.
