I was talking with a guy who works at a lumber mill that my job sends me to. He told me that they only hire new people through a temp agency, they don’t accept applications from the public anymore. If the temp workers do well enough they get hired for full time with benefits.

This reminds me of all the people on here and elsewhere who say that their applications always get rejected. For a lot of jobs I could see this becoming more and more common. An increasing number of businesses won’t wanna spend the time, effort, and money on vetting and hiring random people when they can be sent to them by an agency that does all that work.

Because with places that still do accept online applications, they get bombarded with so many that are fake/spam, from a third world country, or something else seriously wrong with them that that’s part of why they never call legitimate applicants back.

The other option if you’re still in school would be to go through programs that they might have. I just wouldn’t trust looking for a job on my own these days.

Work at a grocery store or waiter
Grocery store ; do jack shit and get paid
Waiter ; you do shit but actually get paid

Fast food: worst of both worlds you deal with retard customers while working a lot and get paid jack shit

From someone that’s done all 3

This is no brainer tbh for those that cant get a job. If you are even decent (most people are retarded and suck at their jobs) allot of the time they will offer you a full time position.

Print a few copies of your resume, with fake job experience (your friends dads business ideally or a relatives business)
*call the store if you and ask if they’re hiring cus u don’t wanna waste your time but sometimes they larp saying they aren’t*

Walk in store - during hours where the shifts are dead and not in a rush
Politely ask for manager
Hey it’s 183 and I was just curious if your hiring at the moment

Blah blah blah blah we aren’t, we are blah blah blah

Got it well here’s my resume I’m super interested in working here

Thank you I’ll let you know

Alr, btw whats your name

Sub5indian

Well thank you so much for taking your time to talk to me sub5indian, have a good one

The conversation will probably be pretty short or maybe he’ll interview you on the spot, since you went during slow hours

I’ve applied to 3 jobs before and got all of them while autistic people at my school complain about the job market :feelsuhh::feelsuhh::feelsuhh:

Btw if you land the interview you basically got the job just say whatever bullshit sounds good
