Should I get sun exposure even while on Accutane?
I’ve been taking Accutane for 6 months now and have already reached a cumulative dose of 120 mg/kg. However, my skin isn't completely clear yet—I still have some acne, so my dermatologist extended my course by another 2 months to reach a cumulative dose of 150 mg/kg.
Interestingly, my skin isn't even dry. I only need to moisturize my lips once a day, and the sun doesn't seem to affect me at all. I only apply SPF 50 once in the morning. Since I’m not experiencing any side effects, I’m wondering if getting a little bit of sun exposure could actually help clear up my skin?
For context, my dosage just increased—I'm now alternating between 40 mg and 60 mg, whereas for the past 6 months, I was taking a solid 40 mg every day
